The Orki developed in a way that can make them thrive in just about any type of living condition, due to this, they have different subspecies, which are the following:
Aquatic Orki (Common):
The most prevalent of the Orki, Aquatic Orki are the heart of the island's communities. With their affinity for water, they play a vital role in producing, hunting, and preparing sea products. Aquatic Orki are often leaders in trade, exploration, and diplomacy.
They're also known to be great dancers, with their Aquatic traits bringing an elegant and eye-capturing shine to their performances.
Their settlements are often along the coasts, often having festivals and stands that sell sea and handmade products, but many Aquatic Cities exist surrounding the Archipelago.
Mammalian Orki (Uncommon):
Mammalian Orki are cherished members of the community. Also, high in numbers, their nurturing instincts and connection to the land make them integral to the island's prosperity. Often taking roles of farming, healing, and caretaking.
They prefer nature-filled areas to build their homes and have many villages built on the Island's Forest, most of these villages boast incredible fauna and flora, and it's said that where a Mammalian Village is, the nature around it flourishes.
Avian Orki (Unusual):
Avian Orki serve as messengers, scouts, and guardians of the island's borders. They keep a watchful eye on the island's borders and guarantee their safety.
They're particularly sensitive to climatic changes and due to that, their most prominent living spaces are atop aeries and towers built higher up, where they can use their abilities to do weather forecasts. Sometimes Mammalian Villages prepare tree houses specially made for the Avian's comfort, making these subspecies very friendly with each other.
Reptilian Orki (Unusual):
Reptilian Orki are often the protectors of sacred sites and skilled storytellers, they pass down tales through generations and their tellings are very popular during festivals.
They favor warm and rocky landscapes but are prone to moving around a lot, their homes are mostly built out of carved rocks, featuring carvings that show Orki Chronicles.
Invertebrate Orki (Rare):
Invertebrate Orki are admired for their artistic talents, intricate craftsmanship, and building abilities. They're known to be skilled and creative, their creations decorate most Orki-Homes and their buildings are known to withstand even the most powerful of storms.
Many Invertebrates choose to live in intricate tunnel subterranean dwellings, but they're also commonly seen within Mammalian Villages.
Unknown Orki (Mythical):
The Unknown Orki are seers and advisors of the community. They provide guidance and are revered due to their unique ties with the Ancestors of Orki.
They live where they're needed and boast an array of abilities that benefit the settlements where they're hosted.
